Krea is most useful when the goal is not simply to generate one image but to build an entire visual workflow around an idea.

A typical workflow can start with an AI-generated image, move into editing or enhancement, then turn the image into a video. Krea's video tool supports both text-to-video and image-to-video workflows, while its Extend function can be used to continue existing clips.

For e-commerce work, Krea can generate product visuals from text or reference images, create different environments, and turn static product imagery into short videos for advertisements and product pages.

The enhancement tools are also useful when an existing image is good but needs higher resolution or cleaner detail. Krea supports 2x, 4x, and 8x-style upscaling workflows and can process multiple images in batches.

For agencies, the Nodes workflow system is particularly relevant because repeatable creative processes can be saved and shared rather than rebuilt manually every time.

How Krea AI actually works

Choose a Krea tool such as Image, Video, Edit, Enhance, 3D, or Realtime.

Enter a text prompt, upload an image, provide a reference, or use one of Krea's interactive controls.

Select the AI model and generation settings, then create the result. You can refine the output, switch models, upscale it, turn an image into a video, or connect multiple operations into a reusable workflow.

Krea also provides an API that allows developers to generate images, videos, and enhanced assets programmatically. Its API currently provides access to more than 40 models through a unified interface.

Krea currently offers four main individual plans:

Free — $0/month

Includes 100 compute units per day, access to Krea 2, real-time models, and limited access to image, video, 3D, lipsync, upscaling, and LoRA features. No credit card is required.

Basic — $9/month

Includes 5,000 compute units per month, commercial licensing, full image-model access, selected video models, 3D and lipsync models, LoRA training with up to 50 images, and image upscaling up to 22K.

Pro — $35/month

Includes 20,000 compute units per month, access to all video models, workflow automation through Nodes and Apps, the AI-powered Nodes Agent, and compute-unit discounts.

Max — $105/month

Includes 60,000 compute units per month, unlimited LoRA fine-tuning with up to 2,000 files, expanded concurrency, queueing, unlimited relaxed generations, and larger compute-unit discounts.

Krea also offers Business and Enterprise plans for teams. Business is currently listed at $200/month with 80,000 compute units and up to 50 included seats, while Enterprise uses custom pricing.

API usage is separate from Krea's web-app compute allocation and is billed per generation rather than through the app's compute-unit system.
